Sungol pickled cucumbers are produced at the Majid Javid Shiraz factory, and the cucumber used is Shiraz-grown cucumber. While in most similar products, Hamedan-grown cucumbers are used. To flavor Sungol pickled cucumbers, tarragon, garlic, and green chili pepper are used. Shiraz-grown cucumbers have advantages over Hamedan-grown cucumbers, and we mention a few of them:
• They have a more desirable aroma and flavor.
• Due to their denser texture, they are crunchier.
For special and super special products, in which small, unripe cucumbers are used, Shiraz cucumbers have less bitterness compared to Hamedan cucumbers.
